cold may be uncomfortable, but if u really want to get the person go with lukewarm,
days weeks or even months after they could still be thinking
"why did he/she do that, they seemed to being nice but then they did **** and acted like as if nothing happened even weeks after they did ****, and yet i know that he/she ment to."
it will make the person think and really get them in the end though it does deppened on the person and the person doing the revenge.
i havent done this to anyone but there sure is one former friend i would love to get revenge on. and that would get her thinking and probably a few crying phone calls to her mother

Yes, you have a good point. Most dishes are at their best either cold or hot-depending on what it is. "Lukewarm" sounds gross. Perfect for 'revenge'.

I always figure whatever mess somebody else made, not my problem (unless its in my face and then I have to deal with it), then just let whoever made the mess clean it up, or they can just sit there in it. Whichever they chose. If a stranger tells me he has a problem, is telling the truth, I probly help in some way. If my wife has problems, tell me half truths or says nothing, she is on her own then, even if she kills herself. Not even partly my problem then. Would NOT feel guilt either. I can't fix what I am not aware of.

So that you can get your revenge when they least expect it. For example let's say you catch your boyfriend in bed with another woman. If you go slash his tires the next day. He's going to at least suspect it was you. But if you wait a few months........

So are other sweet, cold dishes -- ice cream, cold watermelon, etc.
I wouldn't want them lukewarm.
People who deserve one's revenge are getting their just 'desserts.'
