will get anything useful done now that the campaign for 2008 seems to be taking over their attention span???
Are they going to use this as an excuse and diversion to not do anything legislatively progressive on the matters of the war, healthcare, environment, etc.??

Nothing will happen until Spring of 2009. We have, in effect, a lame-duck government. Both sides will blame each other for the nothing that happens and We the People will be hurt by it.
Sad, but true.

First, not all Congress-persons are running.
Second, the ones who are aren't running full time; they're mostly working as much as their colleagues, which is more than the Republican Congress worked.
Third, what they'll be able to accomplish will be limited, because any thing that pass that would make our lives better or solve problems will be vetoed by the moronic Dictator in Chief.
What a short memory you have -- it wasn't very long ago they passed a whole slew of bills, and recently got all the wing nuts up in arms for legislation.

They will do as much as they can. They did more in 100 hours than the Republicans did in 12 years!
Maybe we'll get our constitution back as they are rewriting all the laws that the Republicans passed that allowed the FBI do do any damn thing it pleased!
I think we have two conservative Republican Senators who probably will not have a job after 2008, just like we threw both Republican congress men out of office!
John Sununu and Judd (Jughead) Gregg will probably no longer be there. Oh happy day!

Sadly, I don't think so - and not just because they're Democrats, but because I was watching a documentary on the Alaska pipeline, and nothing has changed. 30 years ago, the government started talking about ending our dependancy on foreign oil....they haven't done a very good job, have they? And BOTH sides have been in power over that time span, and BOTH sides did NOTHING.
Gives you a warm, fuzzy feeling inside, doesn't it?

Democrats never get anything done...if they did then they would be held accountable...but don't hold me to it..just take a NON-BINDING vote to check it out..
