Look up things you already have on ebay just to see how much others are selling it for, even though you have no intention of selling it yourself?

I did it once with my dinner service and one piece went for about £60 - I stuck mine on there right away and was gutted when I only got £30 hahahahahahahahaha

Yes, for certain items. I have just started selling my HUGE collection of Star Wars, Star Trek and Hotwheels collections due to ongoing health problems.
I did not want to sell them but had to start looking things up so as to see what I can ask as the beginning price for each item. Wish I did not have to but medical costs are rising and these items are just sitting around collecting dust.
