This whole controversy is absurd -- the Catholic Church has all kind of statues of Jesus all over the place made of all kinds of stuff. We have people sellling grilled cheese sandwiches with "the image of Jesus" on them. People sell velvet day glo Jesus pictures and all kinds of tacky merchandise.
If the Catholic Church followed the second Commandment there would be no depictions or statues of Jesus in their churches.
And no one really knows what Jesus looked like anyway.

Naw. Taking cheap shots at Christians is OK, they won't fight back. Now if the artist would have done a statue of Muhammad; that would have showed some cleverness and guts on his part!
