Maybe you could try doing open mic nights. My friend's band is just starting & they have been doing that. I'm not sure what kind of a group you have, but I used to live in Columbus so I know there's got to be a place for whatever kind of music you do. You can check Alive or The Other Paper for lists of open mic nights.
