What is the significance of having the largest amount of Campaign Money prior to the presidential elections?

Why does it matter who brought in the most money. The media itself is equally covering the candidates. I could care less of H. Clinton brought in the most money, I'm still not voting for her.

This is America. The best of anything cost more. If you have the most money, you can run the best campaign, if you spend it wisely.
