I'm with Ghapy on this - your fish should have a heater so the temperature of the water is at least 74o. There have only been a few instances of reported breeding - from Asia and Australia I believe, but getting them to spawn in a tank is rare. There's really no difference between the sexes by looking at them, they're aggressive to members of their own species, and they navigate by an electrical field, so having multiple "signals" is confusing to them. Add this to the fact that they get to be over 20" long, and you should have at least three (and four would be better) to ensure that you have at least one of each gender, you'd be talking a tank that would take up most of a room.

Yes, you can keep them in an A/C room because the tank should have a heater anyway.

These fish are very difficult to breed and you won't find too much information on this part. Just enjoy keeping them and learn through experience.
