So far we've seen no verifiable evidence of other sentient species. That said, I believe with some certainty that somewhere in our galaxy at some past, present, or future time, a sentient species did/does/will exist.
Why haven't we heard from them?
Perhaps they are not technologically advanced enough to be heard. They may be mastering stone knives right now, or experiencing their own Rennaisance.
Perhaps they are here right now. Any species sufficiently advanced to travel interstellar distances would be able to hide or masquerade with ease. That Boeing 737 that just flew by may be a surveillance craft.
Perhaps they are so far away they will never notice us and vice versa.
Perhaps they existed a million years ago and died out.
Perhaps they will exist a million years from now.
It is really impossible to know for sure.
The Drake Equation suggests that there is sentient life out there. The Fermi Paradox casts doubt. Play around with the calculation form at the second link and see what you think.

Finally someone has mentioned a 4th dimension. What you don't mention is that this is a spirit dimension. It only takes 1 dimension higher to be basically all powerful over the lower dimension. Something in the 4th dimension is not bound in a 3 dimnesional universe. Weird sightings and stuff, they are not possible alien sightings, more like possible demon sightings, cus I doubt God's Angels appear in a strange manner. It IS why they are called "Fallen" angels. And also, it is not a mathematical probablity. Take the number of molecules in 1 strand of DNA, then do the multiplications on the odds of those ALL combining into a working DNA sequence. Thats just one strand, then also consider spontaneous generation. No one knows where "life" actually exists or comes from, spontaneous generation is impossible, scientists have made pathetic attempts in a lab to no avail, and thats with a test lab environment, obviosuly better than a swamp or where ever else in this Universe. Just a random guess so far, but I reckon the odds of a 1 celled organism on Earth is a number greater than the number of atoms in this whole Universe. Mathematically possible, No. Physically possible, No. Spiritually possible, Yes. Only God can create something from nothing because He created this Universe. He is not bound by our laws of entropy(evolution's enemy).
Hope that jolts ya mind a bit, cus those numbers would hurt anyone's head.

Yes, I agree that extraterrestrial life probably exists.
But, in what form, and on which planet I cannot begin to tell.
First, human life began some 5,000 years ago (more or less) on Earth. However, real serious technology in the study of space, space travel, space probes, and space communications began within the last 100 years. If the Earth is 4 Billion years old, that 100 year slice of time is just an eye blink in the total history of the planet.
With that "eye blink" in mind when you turn to an Earth equivalent planet out in deep space, how would you begin to determine when the "eye blink" of that planet's intelligence will occur? Seriously, the equivalent planet's life may be in the Fishes stage, the dinosaur stage, cave man stage, or worse yet, life as we comprehend it may have come and gone; wiped out by some nuclear fire storm or collision with a massive asteroid.
While the chances of an equivalent planet having life are pretty good, the chances that the life we find will be equivalent to us in technology are kind of remote. They may, in fact, be far advanced over our primitive developments.
Others will argue that distant life forms will only be small organisms. Who knows for sure?
I do think that the chances that their Channel 9 TV signal is the same as ours, and that they speak Chinese, English, or Spanish is pretty slim at best. Your best defense is always a good offense, however, so never walk around without your own personal MAC-10 or Glock Automatic.

Yes, aliens do exist. We may never see them, but they do exist. There is someonething known as the 4th dimention, We can only see 2 and 3 dimentions, but the 4th dimention is not visable to human eyes. We may never know whats out there. The universe is endless, the distance to which humans can travel is nothing. Earth can be a atom in a being, humans might even be a form of bacteria in a bigger being. The universe is probably a single substance in a bigger being. questions about celestial beings would probably never be answered, just enjoy your life.

You can't possibly think we are the only planet in this entire universe with intelligent life! And when we do meet these beings from another galaxy far, far away, we will probably find we are not as intelligent as we like to make believe. Prepare to be colonized!

There are things that I have seen in my life (no I wasn't abducted or something crazy like that) that make me believe that there is life beyond our planet. We have barely scratched the surface of the universe so we may not even figure it out in the next 10 lifetimes of my family!

Though we have no proof that they are out there they must exist by the millions or billions
No alien has ever visited earth and they probably never will, but, hopefully SETI will one day receive a signal that will verify their existence,
. they may look like anything you could imagine but they probably think like us and speculate about our existence.

There is either aliens or a god. Either god made this planet therefore its unique and were probably alone as the bible would have us believe or the circumstances that created life here must have been recreated elsewhere. Personally i dont believe in god so there must be aliens.

How about that? Imagine that our solar system only one small part of the one big body and we never going to see our host because we think small, we are small and we do not know what is really big.

It is all about place
An OHIO child is an "alien" to CALIFORNIA if he tries to move there...
If you are talking about "other creatures" than the ones we see on earth, well that may be a different "load" of the question....
