22 miles / 1 hour = X feet / Y seconds
1 mile = 5280 feet
22 (1 mile) = 22 (5280 feet)
22 miles = 116,160 feet

116,160 feet / 1 hour = 116,160 / Y seconds
1 hour = 60 minutes
1 minute = 60 seconds
60 minutes * 60 seconds = 1 hour
3600 seconds = 1 hour

116,160 feet / 3600 seconds
32.26666 feet / 1 second
32.3 is the answer

12 feet / 1 second = X yards / minute
12 feet = 4 yards
4 yards / 1 second
1 second = 1/60 minute

4 yards / (1/60) minute
4 * 60 yard / 1 minute
240 yards/minute

22 mi/hr * 5280 ft/1 mi * 1 hr/3600 sec

I'll do it in separate steps
22 mi/hr * 5280 ft/mi = 116,160 ft/hr
116160 ft/hr * 1 hr/3600 sec = 32.2667 ft/sec

Do you see how I chose the numerator and denominator to cancel out the unwanted unit and introduce the desired unit? That's the whole trick to doing these. You just have to think "OK, 1 hour (unwanted unit) equals how many seconds (desired unit)?" and then create a fraction so that the unwanted unit cancels out and the desired unit remains.

12 ft/sec * 1 yd/3 ft * 60 sec/1 min

19 qt/hr * 16 cups/qt * 1 hr/60 min
