Isn't it hard when someone you still love so much cannot even contact you now and then, it's like you cannot even be friends and you are not a part of their everyday life anymore? Doesn't that person miss you back? It really makes one feel worthless:(. How did you cope with that in your case? When you passed the misery and anger phase, did you ever say hi to that person again?

I had the same situation. I had to cut her out of my life completely or my heart would break every time I talked to her.

In the course of time. However, once you have shared a very intimate relationship with another person and that relationship has ended badly, there is an natural period of estrangement that helps both parties develop a new "normal" once you have your relational legs under you again, seeing and talking with this other person will not be so difficult for either of you. Of course, there is the chance that the other party may not want contact for whatever reason. If so, you just have to accept it and move on.

Sometimes you just have to let it all go.........
You are still in the grieving stage and you have to give yourself the time to purge all of those emotions.
Anyone that has ever had their heart broken knows exactly what you are going through. And it's hard for us to digest that the other person is trying to get past this as well.
Don't attempt to make any more contact with this person. You will be disappointed every time and putting yourself through this emotional roller coaster time after time.

Hello Stargazer,
I can agree with both of the previous answerers.
Some who used to be significant just leaves the relationship,
is less than human, and has no compassion.
That's when my coping method kicks in.!! I don't really want it
to, it's kind of automatic. I get extremely angry, lash out, and
try to hurt that person as much as he/she has hurt me. I let
them KNOW I'm pissed, and I'm NOT going to stand for it.!!
Then, I have to pick up the remaining pieces of my life, and
head out in search of greener pastures. Works for me.

If the reason they cannot contact you is because they are with someone else, then get a clue, THEY WANT THAT OTHER PERSON, you are yesterday's news......
