interesting point about not having to prove a negative but it doesn't address the issue of can you prove a negative. for instance if i was charged w/ a crime i did not commit then presumably i can prove i did not do it. the alien topic is a devisive one for obvious reasons but it truly can be as debatable as whether or not there is a God. the only proof resides in a book written by man. none of us know if nasa is covering any thing up and what their motivation would be for covering it up if they were, but if we look at the 'anomalies' of mars, not including the supposed face the rational thought would have to be that something is there we don't know about. how does one explain dissapearing moons, which some say has happened and others say it hasn't. how does one look at the features on the planet, including pictures of a blue sky broadcast on a nasa press conference go w/o mention. the tubes, tress, geometrical structures, all there for us to see. a better question might be this, if nasa sent a probe there in the seventies (which intially reported life being present on mars) what is the reason for continuing to go back. over a dozen times.
papars raises some interesting points but i would counter with who is to say any outside alien would come here to cause destruction. that would be passing a human trait unto an alien being. i for one would think that a truly adavanced civilization would be free of violence and would learn to live in love....lol

There is no moon of Mars that disappeared. Phobos and Deimos are still there. Yes, there is probably life in other parts of the universe, but they're not doing wheelies in our solar system. There is no sound scientific proof and most of the observatories in the world are not controlled by NASA. Get off the conspiracy kick. The burden of proof is to show that they exist; not the other way around.

Like others have said you can't prove a negative. For example to try and prove aliens don't exist we would have to start somewhere. Maybe we chose to look at mars. We find no signs of life on mars. So we say there are no aliens on mars. This doesn't prove that there are no aliens. Just that there are no aliens on mars.
We can say that we have seen no signs of aliens in the universe but the absence of proof is not proof of absence.

This is backwards question. Theres plenty of proof that they DO exist. You know, over 10,000 reported sightings by civilian an military pilots. Pictures of hundreds of craft.
http://www.ufoevidence.org/photographs/photohome.asp
There can't be ANY proof that they don't exist, because that is an incorrect statement.
They also are in contact with us from the ships.

And don't forget, whatever your govt says is true, is actually false. Whatever they say is false, is actually true. (You can interchange right / wrong and good / bad as well.

There is indeed no proof to assert that aliens dont exist. On the contrary, there is sufficient evidence- historic and modern that indicates that aliens do exist.
NASA or any government agency cannot acknowledge the existance or non-existance of aliens with certainty because of several reasons. If such an agency did go out and say there were aliens who visit the Earth and sometimes do awful stuff such as abduct humans by stunning them with strange rays etc- imagine, what an effect that would have on humans? It would trigger a mass, worldwide panic with extremely serious law and order, health and economic consequences.
Secondly, if aliens do exist, which I believe they do, we would need to be geared to effectively counter any military or other threat they may pose to the Earth and its inhabitants in general. Hence, governments will keep mum about whatever they learn about aliens- like keeping known information about an enemy, secret.
And considering that there have been crashes of alien space vehicles as claimed, any government in custody of such spacecraft would LOVE to duplicate or learn about their technology and hence, keep such a finding their treasured secret.
At the same time, aliens are also to blame for this. Despite occasional abductions of humans and so called contacts, there appear to be no serious efforts by the other civilization to make their presence known. Infact, most UFO sightings, alien contacts and abductions are reported from places that are remote or are scarcely populated. And most of these contacts and sightings occur after dark- which signifies that aliens prefer to maintain a shroud of secrecy over themselves, for whatever the reason.
Humans who claim to have had contact with aliens are usually ridiculed by the press and others and hence, prefer to keep their experience a secret.
There are millions of planets and stars out there in Outer Space and it is definitely possible that some of these have civilizations in various stages of development- from Stone Age to extremely advanced. Climatic and other conditions that could sustain other life forms can surely exist on such planets.
Some examples that aliens did visit the Earth in ancient times can be found from artefacts of those era such as cave paintings of South America which shows humanoid figures wearing some sort of suits, helmets and carrying weapons unknown to mankind at the time. Strange shaped skulls purportedly from alien-human cross-breed, the Piri Reyes Map which shows Antarctica before the polar ice cap covered the continent etc...are indicators that aliens do exist or, at least a much more advanced human race did much earlier than we know.
Luckily for people across the globe who believe that aliens do exist, the French space agency has put on the Internet, its entire research into Unexplained Aerial Phenomenon (UAP) or Unidentified Flying Objects (UFO) with rational hypothesis. Sadly, the GEIPAN website is available in French only and we hope someday that it will be published in English and other languages for benefit of UFO/ UAP researchers around the world.

There isn't any real proof that aliens exist or don't exist. Considering the vastness of space, it is very likely that there is intelligent life out there somewhere. However, you also have to take that vastness into account and realize that we probably won't ever come into contact with any of it.

UFOs as we call them are nothing more than black projects. You can easily look over the reports and line them up with projects we had or have. Many for yrs out in the desert reported a black triangle UFO....and now we have the triangle stealth. The ball UFO, is nothing more than the same principle of Sputnik, the Russian satalite, pull up pics of both and realize they are but the same. My guess, the ball is a CIA spy item, hides well, hard to see, etc.
Then you can easily look into Nazi, WWII, Project Paperclip and all that and see how we found UFO's and a entire project based on them that the Nazi's had. We stole that info, the UFOs and the scientists and later created NASA to hide it all.
If you think landing on the moon, space shuttles, and all that is real, then their marketing campaign did an excellent job. Its all fake. Just research the Van Buren Radiation belt and realize no human can leave to far past earth. Its why we send non maned probs out into space and not man. Plus realize when they send a prob out, watch it all. They still use DOS programming....ummm hello?
You can even back this up from a video where Donald Rumsfeld comes clean and says Yes, the moon mission was all fake. He was part of it and was on the presidents cabinet at that time.
All you see, Roswell, UFOs, all of it is just a ploy to hide black projects. Cause if we came clean and said yes, we have them, then in time we would have to share such items with all the rest in the world. If we leave them as black projects and deny they exist, then we don't have to share and can spy on anywhere, anywhere and they don't realize it.
And basic principle of UFOs are simple. Take a fan and spin it at high speeds. Stand in the middle of this and you will be inside a gravity/magnetic bubble. Labratory alone shows this. Now since you are standing in this bubble, motion, speed, angle of turn does not effect you as the pilot so no flight suit is needed like those in jets. And the basic shape of the UFOs is part of the lifting power. When you turn this fan on, it sucks air down at such a great rate over the shape it creates a pocket of lower air pressure underneath, in turn allowing it to lift. Same principle with aircraft wing.
BMW and Rolls Royce both have records of supplying and designing special engines for these UFOs and even show blueprints of some of the machines.
No such thing as little green men, period. Just remember the military had stealth in the 1950's when average joe had AM transistor radio and black and white TV. Stealth is considered high tech even today. So look around at what we have now, and try to imagine what the black projects really have going on.
Even the old CEO of Boeing is on record stating " anything you can imagine trying to fly, we already tried them all prior to 1950 ". And when asked about UFOs he just smiled and said nothing.

The idea that aliens don't exist anywhere in the universe is asinine. Whether or not they kidnap Cletus from Podunk and put fingers and probes in his keister is up for debate (I personally don't believe in kidnappings). The idea that we are the only beings in existence is just silly. The universe has trillions of planets and I just don't think luck only favored us.

The proof is that with the supposed millions of encounters and pictures/video we have zero as clear proof, stories and blurry images!
Same with Bigfoot, ghosts, demons, all the crazy crap that mentally disturbed people imagine in their minds, there is where it exists, not in reality!
The human brain has the ability to manifest thought into reality to the believer, but only to them. If you believe it your mind makes it real to you!

It is logically impossible to prove that something does NOT exist. In order to prove that something does not exist, you would have to search every point in the entire universe before you could declare that it did not exist.
