Shouldn't be a problem. An old work partner of mine used to spray his clothes with Lysol after leaving the go-go bar so his wife wouldn't smell the smoke. It dissipates after a few minutes.

I'd hand wash it in Dawn liquid, in a bucket outside. Dawn cuts oil pretty well. Then I'd machine wash, by itself. Generally I'd say, no, there's no problem just go to the machine, but not knowing how "soaked" it is, be cautious.
