He might do. We give our plec cucumber, but you have to take it out after a few hours because it will go soggy and unpleasant. Our other fishies seemed to enjoy it too - plecs are vegetarians, so provided he can get his mouth round it, he will probably enjoy it. A bit of variety never hurt anyone ^_^
