wat r the places that are worth visiting in amsterdam.?how far is the tulip field from the city?and how can we go there?is there any public transport that takes u there?

Amsterdam is a great city if you go by coach you see the tulips but only if its the right time for them we went to Amsterdam 2 years a go and it was great take a trip on the boats to see the sights as i said it is a great place to go and enjoy your self have a great time

The Tulip field is the Keukenhof. You can reach it by bus. It is starting to become interesting now, because it is a good time to visit. Take bus 58 from trainstation schiphol or bus 54 from Leiden. Total time is one hour from Amsterdam central station. (see 92920v.nl) fill in at naar straat (means to street) keukenhof plaats (means place) Lisse.
The Rijksmuseum, a canal trip, just walking through the city centre are all good places to visit. I have added some links

It was a few years ago that we rented an apartment in the Hague and the public transport was fantastic. Trains were punctual, frequent, clean and quite cheap. We went to Delft, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Madurodam and the tulip fields at Keukenhof all by train.

To see the Tulip fields you can get a bus from the airport or a train to Leiden and a bus from there, there are details on this site.
It's only open until the end of may. And costs €13
Other stuff to see anne frank huis, the rembrant musem, a boat tour, er the ruiksmusem (sp) and or course the red light district.

Red light, Rijksmusuem, the little canal boat tours will give you more ideas for stuff to visit, and you can hop on and off all day.
Public transport in the Netherlands is SUPERB, you won't have any problem at all. Trains and busses galore, and they all integrate.
Tourists can see almost everything in the Netherlands within walking distance of a train station.
