The two digits in the numerator of a fraction are reversed in its denominator. If 1 is subtracted from both the numerator and denominator, the value of the resulting fraction is 1/2. By trial and error, the answer is C. From the first criteria given, only C satisfies criteria.

(37 - 1)/(73 - 1) = 36/72

Hence, the answer is 1/2.

Therefore, C is the correct answer.

you didnt even need the last aprt

37-1=36
73-1=72

72 divided by 2 is 36
therefore

36/72 = 1/2
and taht the only fraciton ahts equal to 1/2 when 1 is subtracted from both the numerator and denominator

A) 24/51, not 1/2, eliminate.
B) 35/62, not 1/2, eliminate
C) 36/72 is 1/2.
