In an average US prison, it costs about $35K to keep an individual in prison. Some states have early release of prisoners because of the expense. It would be best for the rest of society if terrorists, murderers, rapists and child molesters were kept in prison.

Health care in the US is expensive. A person can do a lot to maintain health by exercise and diet.

It's a little known fact that the majority of the prisoners detained at Abu Gharib and Gitmo were not involved with terrorism or an insurgency. Many of them were only "suspected" or simply turned in for the cash reward. Guilty or not, apparently the U.S. legal system doesn't apply to them. The fact that all this encourages the real terrorists or potential terrorists to be more angry doesn't exactly make the American people more "safe". I'd rather not put my tax dollars into methods that encourage more terrorism and put my life and my country at danger.

I in no way suggested they the position all in charge , a number of them the position captured because they the position linked to or linked with terrorists and they did not comprehend how far those connections went until eventually they the position interrogated, lower than the situations it became very confusing to style at what there connection became. convinced they should be set loose ! Many others notwithstanding are terrorists or the position practise in a terror camp and are risky ! I nevertheless do no longer have self assurance that those men must have trials in usa and take delivery of trials in usa with Americas guidelines ! they're captured enemy and should be dealt with as such with protection rigidity trials !

But America detained them in the first place.

It not like anyone asked them to set up Gitmo, that was a policy decision by the US govt.

Why should somebody else pay to keep American prisoners?

They are US prisoners, let the US feed them.

Duh.....

well i rather keep them locked up where they can cause us no harm. If a terrorist attack happen then health care cost would increases. And if we give them money after a weak Democrat come into power then we would be shooting ourselves in the foot twice.
