Geez - what a bunch of paranoids... I've run plugged tires fopr thousands of miles with no problems! Wen't across country on one once. I wouldn't suggest doing a track day on it, otherwise, should be fine for normal commuting.
It depends on where the plug is though - if it is in the center of the tread area, you are most likely O.K.. If it is in the sidewall, replace it ASAP.

As with any tire, it is unwise to continue riding with a plug on the side of the tire. I would use it to get home, then repair with a patch from the inside as soon as possible. The patch will work fine and is a much cheaper alternative to buying a whole new tire.

You don't want to bet your life on that kind of plug. Have the tire repaired with an inside plug if possible. other wise, replace the tire.

I know several people who had cheap outside the tire plugs in their tires (one guy had more than one) and they went over 100mph and did wheelies on those tires... hopefully not at the same time 0_o
It is worth the extra time and money to put in a mushroom plug... why risk having the plug come out when you are leaned over in a turn going 100+ mph? If you are just commuting on the bike though, the walmart plugs should be fine.

Replace the tire. As 51 says, you can't tell if the cords are cut. Chances are they are, giving you an unseen weak spot.

I would use one if that was all that was available. I wouldn't go very fast with any patch. I would ride it only until I could get to my garage where I could repair it better.

go to the nearest bike shop and get a new tire on it.......pronto. u have only 2 wheels between u and the road. to trust a patched tire is the same as lettin a drunk driver be behind u in a cage. get it fixed or die.

Replace it immediately unless you're a fan of freestyle pavement surfing.
