They are asking their supporters to "pledge a protester." Every year on Good Friday thousands of Protesters show up at our local Planned Parenthood, so this year they are asking people to pledge an amount of money for every protester that shows up, so in essence all the protesters will be raising money for the clinics. The more anti choice individuals who show up, the more money Planned Parenthood gets. I think its a great idea! heres the link....

planned parenthood does more than abortions, they also provide sexual and reproductive health care, including family planning (including contraceptives), gynecological care, STI/STD testing and treatment, pregnancy testing

Well, don't talk about it here, or the protesters will know not to show up!

That is the best thing I've heard all day! Cheers to Planned Parenthood! That has to be the best idea I've heard of in a good year or so.

Here's an idea:

Anyone in the area on Good Friday who is pro-choice should take a pro-choice sign of support and picket around midday. Maybe they'll count you as a protester, which would increase the total amount of money they raise! You kill two birds with one stone: You show your support by shocking the heck out of those ignorant, hateful anti-choice people, and you help contribute to a good cause.

very sad....and i don't believe the protesters are anti-choice....but pro-life.....lets just hope planned parenthood can use their ill gained money to give out correct doses of birth control so as to prevent unplanned pregnancies, as the organisation won't need to profit so much on abortions now....

That is an EXCELLENT idea!!! Its time for those sickos to stop being allowed to harass people. Ive never understood why the police allow those kinds of protesters simply because of the nature of their protesting, and how violent they have been. This is a great way to deter them from showing up, I hope it works!

i hope you don't mind, i posted this question in another category to spread the word...!
thanks!

people, planned parenthood does a lot more than perform abortions. they "offer high-quality sexual and reproductive health care, including family planning, gynecological care, STI/STD testing and treatment, pregnancy testing"--you think all that is BAD?!?

Anti-choice...care to share what choice we're talking about here?

I'm not against choice...people have what's called free moral agency. On the other hand, just because something is a "choice" doesn't make it valid or moral.

Women do NOT have the fundamental right to kill their children. Period.

EDIT: You know what, I think we pro-lifers can sponsor an abortionist. We can pay $x for every unborn child murdered by an abortionist and donate it to pro-life causes. We'd REALLY make some money there!

Plus I've had Ohio Choose Life plates, and the money from those goes to pro-life organizations!

Alexandra...what a great idea! Talk about making millions!

Seriously, Planned Parenthood's idea is the most tasteless thing I've ever heard. And how can these people be so gleeful about killing babies? Totally sick...
