I think that it is true. I like to be around open minded people, sweet, nice, fun, daring....yeah, I like to be around people who act something like me!

I like to be around someone who is authentic, real and "balanced"
I don't mind if someone is bitchy and grumpy "once and awhile" about things in life.
But if their general disposition is that of an optimist and they tend to see life as a series of lessons both positive and negative then I can hang with them.
If someone is always complaining and finding a "problem" with everything then I feel like they are basically immature or have no interest in growth.
Some people are like emotional vampires and are always trying to suck the happiness out of the you.
I prefer someone that can walk in the door and say this or that really sucked, laugh about it eventually and then say...hey life goes on ...pass the chips.

yes I would say it is generally true. I am the type of person not to let those kind of people bother me, but it isn't any fun being around a sourpuss all the time. Sometimes I get angry, or frustrated, but that doesn't free me to take it out on others, or let it affect others. I prefer positive open-minded people.....

I think it's true that most people don't enjoy being around a depressing negative person because it brings them down, too. Of course if someone I know is feeling bad then I hope they feel they can be themselves around me and I would gladly listen to them and be there for them if they needed my help. In general, I like to be around interesting, fun people with good personalities that can talk about a variety of subjects. No whiners. It's hard for me to be around whiners.

I usually like to be around people who are fun to be with and are sometimes moaning and groaning not moaning and groaning all the time with no fun. A friend is someone to have fun with AND to share your sorrows with. If someone was always moaning and groaning, who would want to be their friend? What would you get out of being their friend?

Brazilian Swimsuit models with intelligence and a sense of humor would do it for me.
Actually anyone who does not take themselves too seriously, is kind and considerate of others, and does not use bad language, poor tatse or is uncouth, with a positive attitude.
