No good news. it will cost more to repair than it will to replace.
Start looking for a decent garage sale maybe?
Good luck.......

Well - as long as you didn't blow a hole in the motor - you may be able to rebuild the engine. Either that or replace the engine.
Engines are expensive, but at least its just the engine and not the entire mower.
And you have learned a lesson now - always make sure it has oil before you run it.

The good news is that you get to go out shopping at Home depot or Canadian Tire for a new lawnmower. Also you can sell your old mower for scrap parts.

If there wasn't any oil, the engine seized up.
W/o oil to lubricate the internal parts, they become very hot, expand, and eventually lock in place.
It's not an easy fix and is probably going to be expensive.

No good news on this one. The engine is gone if there was no oil in it.

that's not a good maintenance program. I don't think it's in the manual.
I'm trying to find some good news here. Oh, here we go: in the scope of the history of the world, this will be a fairly insignificant event.
