Yes. I see people every day that a little money would help them out and make a world of difference in their lives.

I would help, indirectly, by donating money to charity and, possibly, setting up an education fund at my alma mater.
The rest of my lottery winnings would go towards my family and into trust for my nieces & nephews and (hopefully) future children.

If you asked me this a long time ago I would say yes.
Nowadays we have people suing people because coffee is hot and people want to blame others for them getting fat because they can't stop themselves from walking into a fast food joint and ordering fatty crappy foods.
We have to lock our doors, stop picking up trespassers because they could rob/rape/kill you, etc.
We have people not listening to warnings all over the place and evacuate, then expect the US government to coddle and cater to their demands of paying for shelter for them instead of taking care of their own matters.
I would rather help out children and dogs than help out an adult.
My lottery winnings will go to my family and myself.

er, wel, let me think about it for a spell
.....no.
there are plenty of people i already know that i'd like to help if i was in a position to offer assistance.
if i won BiGtime, I wouldn't give to charity either- too many funds go astray and too many folx on their payrolls.
there's a retired doctor (Dr Holt?) in western australia who's had very positive results with his (microwave) treatment of cancer.
despite the statistix that support his success, his method had never been accepted by the medical powers@B -
charitably, i'd like to do something to support "him" and "his" method of research

HELL no. That's MY money, dammit! Seriously though - I'd probably give 25% of it to St. Jude's and 25% of it to the humane society/SPCA.

Sure! I do it now, and having more money would not change that.
