I live in South Carolina and would like to know how is it that the school system support staff makes little $.

Most bring home $400.00 every two weeks. Most are below the poverty line.

The school system sets the pay rates for those employees.

In order to get the pay increased, the school board would have to approve the raises. Go to the school board meeting nd tell them what you think the support staff should be making, and tell them why.

Also, go to the local newspaper and see if they'll do a feature story on it to get the public interested.
