Okay, let's clear up some things. First, her name was Anne Boleyn. She was Henry's second wife. She produced one living child, the Princess Elizabeth.

Yes, Henry married her officially in January of 1533, and she was crowned Queen of England in June of the same year. When she failed to produce the expected male heir, Henry grew tired of her. Henry's chief Minister, Cromwell, rigged evidence of incest and adultery against Anne, and she was arrested, tried, convicted and put to death in 1536.

All told, Henry had three legitimate children who survived him: Mary (from his first wife, Catherine of Aragon), Elizabeth (From Anne Boleyn), and Edward (from Henry's third wife, Jane Seymore).

When Henry died in 1547, he was succeeded by Edward, who reigned until 1553. When he died childless, the crown passed to his elder half-sister, Mary, who reigned until 1558. And when Mary died childless, the crown passed finally to Mary and Edward's half-sister Elizabeth who reigned until her death in 1603.

Hope that clears it up for you. Cheers.

Since it doesn't appear to matter how anyone answers this question, I'll give an answer to collect the points, whether I get a thumbs down or not.

Here's the answer... *drumroll!!!*

Henry the 8th and anne berlin got the crown when they both died and he married her. Then her sister Mary got the crown and she changed her name to Elizabeth.

Of course none of this is accurate but hey, let's have fun with it anyway.
PS - I'm giving a thumbs-up to everyone who went before me because they got here first and because their answers are better than mine.

PS - Besides my lousy answer, which I know is lousy and wrong, I still have less negative ratings than folks who took the time to give good information. sadiedee52, you have some really good answers here. I hope that you look beyond all the negative ratings that people got and take the good stuff for what it's worth! People helping people. :)

Anne Boleyn was the second wife of Henry 8th, and she was executed for supposedly fooling around with another man after 3 years. Of course, a key reason for the execution was that Henry had found yet another woman he wanted--Jane Seymour.

Jane had a son, Edward, who succeeded Henry when he died. Catherine of Aragon, Henry's first wife had a daughter, Mary, who succeeded Edward when Edward died as a teen. Edward never ruled as an adult. Elizabeth was the daughter of Henry and Anne and she succeeded Mary when Mary died after a fairly short reign. Edward and Elizabeth were Protestants, while Mary was a staunch Catholic, thus this string of successions caused much misery in England as the country swung back and forth between the two competing religions.

Henry VIII married Anne Boleyn but divorced her and was executed because of a supposed infidelity and Henry VIII's thirst for women and a desire for a male heir, After their deaths , Edward would have become king had he not been so ill and there was a small interval before Elizabeth I becoming the monarch, and that of Mary, Queen of Scots.(1547-1558) when Elizabeth was crowned queen and she reigned until early 1603.

I think its absolutely hilarious that all these kind people that are trying to help have all been awarded with thumbs down !

and the guy who has given the most detailed answer has got two thumbs down !

Truly ignorance is alive and well !

I shan't bother answering the question as there are already some good answers.......and what's the point if some little twerp just gives you a negative vote anyway.

Henry VIII married Ann Berlin; Mary changed her name to Elizabeth...........fantastic !

PS. Thanks to whoever gave me a negative - rather proves my point, don't you think ?

First of all, Henry VIII's second wife was Anne Boleyn. He had her executed, and lived on long after she died, long enough to marry four more times.

Henry's son by his 3rd wife, Jane Seymour, Edward succeeded him, but died soon after. Then his daughter Mary by his first wife, Catherine of Aragon, inherited the throne, but did not rule for long. And finally his daughter by his second wife, Anne Boleyn, Elizabeth, came to power, and had a long and well remembered reign.

Hi...To answer your question..first of all her correct name was Anne Boleyn. First of all, Anne was not too popular with the people of England. While Henry was seeing Anne, Anne had become more frustrated due to the lack of fast respondence to Henry and Catherine on their annullement. She would literally have arguments with Henry in front of his subjects of the court. Now sometime near the end of 1532, Anne finally gave in to Henry and became pregnant. Now, Henry to avoid any issues regarding to Anne's pregnancy had to do something so in a secret ceremony married Anne in 1533. Even though Catherine and Henry were still married...lol (figures). Now according to research, Henry never believed that his marriage to Catherine was condoned so to him it never existed. So on June 1st 1533 Anne was crowned queen by the archbishop of Canterbury. Now Anne was still pregnant at this time and the King and everyone else thought for sure that Anne was going to deliver a baby boy. (wishful thinking). Because on August 26th 1533, Anne delivered a beautiful baby girl (not a boy) and named her Elizabeth. Now Anne became pregnant several times after Elizabeth was born but miscarried both times and one of those pregnancies happened to be a boy. Knowing that she wasn't able to produce an heir for Henry (since females) at this time were not recognized as heirs she knew her life was in danger by Henry. Also Henry started looking elsewhere once again and his eyes were upon a certain (lady in waiting) named Jane Seymore. Now also at this time the people of England was plotting against the Queen. They didn't like her from the get go so they made Henry sign some papers against Anne for treason.By 1536, Henry and his troop arrested Anne's good friend and musician Mark Smeaton, her brother, George Boleyn, and Sir Henry Norris, and then finally Anne herself. Also there were two others involved for adultry with the Queen who were Sir Francis Weston and William Brereton. On May 19th Anne was executed. On May 29th 1536, Henry married Jane Seymore. She is the third wife of Henry and now is Queen. Now around Sept. 1537, Jane took ill while still pregnant. It came to be that King Henry had to make the choice of either saving the Queen's life or the unborn child. Henry chose the life of his unborn over the Queens. Jane died but Henry had a new heir to his throne who was named Prince Edward. In your question, you had asked about a (Mary). There was a princess Mary that was the daughter of Henry and his first wife Catherine born in 1516. Is this the Mary you were refering too? If so, then she was not able to be the heir to the crown since at this time females were not even considered to be crowned or to become ruler of England. Only male heirs could become rulers or Kings. Now after the death of Jane, King Henry married again, who was the Anne of Cleves. The fourth wife of Henry. No sooner they were married, Henry divorced Anne of Cleves which was around (I think) 1539 approx. Soon after his divorce with Anne, he married Catherine Howard in 1540.
However, since her background with certain lovers came to be known Henry had her beheaded in 1542. No children. She was the fifth wife of Henry. On July 12, 1543, Henry married Katharine Parr his (sixth wife). His last wife whom by the way survived Henry. Now, what some people didn't know but Henry had all his children removed from his domain and placed in other places. Katharine decided to have the children to visit so she could get aquainted with them. Elizabeth was ten at this time. Now Queen Katharine and Lady Mary (which is the daughter of Henry by his first marriage) were at the same age so Katharine didn't try to become a (mother figure) so do speak to Mary. Now according to who heired the throne at this time if Henry died would have been as follows: Prince Edward, then lady Mary, then Princess Elizabeth.Henry died of a suspected blood clot from his leg to his heart in Jan. of 1547. Prince Edward was crowned King on Jan.31st, 1547. Hope this has helped on answering your question. have a great day.
