E.g. If you change the date from today's actual date to a date already past, or a date in the future - will this cause some programs not to work, or any other errors to occur?

The only programs likely to be affected would be accounting type programs like Quicken, Managing Your Money and calender programs like Outlook Calendar.

If you're trying to defeat a demo timeout though most vendors have programmed around sneaky users setting the date back. By keeping counters or grabbing the date from their website.

Most registered programs will not crash or cause any problems. However some trial / shareware software will get disabled due to change in system date. Also your files created will show incorrect date of creation / deletion.

Yes, IT will.. I changes the Date to 2008 and my Mozilla Firefox Told The Mcafee Site Advisor Security certificate is expired so it is not safe and some other problems.. better not to change.. if u change , after sometime change it back

genrally u wont find any big eerros..

its alrigth give uyr self some geek time...

go ahead nad change the time...

only few sites and s/w which we use rearely sthrows up some warnign message

Usually people do this to use trial version soft but this only harm program.
