Betta fish are a lot more intersting and have more personality than goldfish. I think so. ♥

I don't think any fish is more interesting then another, so with that I disagree. I also don't really think a betta has more personality, they are definitely more of a people person fish and interact more with people then other fish, where as the goldfish interact more with other fish then they do with people, except when they know they are going to be fed but that is how all fish are...pigs. But each fish has its own personality so I can't say that one species of fish has more personality then another.

I my goodness! How could you even ask a question like that?! Bettas are better by a thousand miles! I have this betta, named Baseball, and I traned him to swim down, up, and in circles! They are pretty smart for fish! And fun!

Seems to me no one here has ever really had a gold fish. Betas are boaring and do nothing but sit in their bowls. Goldfish will play with items you put intot he ponds or tanks. they display antics and have a personality which rivals that of a puffer. You are lucky betas come up for food.
there are many interesting fish with greater personalities than betas. Unfortunatellly closed minds will never know any of these wonderful fish species.

Goldfish are generally boring unless they are the ones with the the big bug eyes. Beta fish are fun to watch except when it gets cold...they are incredibly lazy and will just lay there.

BETTAS ARE BETTER lol looking at how the betta open it's fins and flar it's so cool. goldfish just swims around...boring

Yes. But they can also be a lot more aggressive. Thay are also called Chinese Fighting Fish. Don't ever put two males in the same tank. One will end up dead.

i agree totally. i have 6 betta, 2 female, 1 crown tail and 3 males. they all have there own personality. i think all my males are gay though. they wont mate.

Yes they do. old fish are Boring.. I have a 15 gal ( I know it's small... :( But i live in a small apt ) I have 2 guppies, and had 3 molys but they died... after giving birth to about 15 molys.. and 2 cat fish
