i have a neighborhood landscaping business that i do and i need a good idea of what to charge for lawns. i used to charge $25 a cut, but with gas prices going up.... all of the yards i take care of are .5-.75 cleared acres. i charge $25/hr for any other jobs. sound reasonable?

i live in CT if that makes any difference.

Depends on where you live. I am in Northern NJ and pay about $30 a week to have my 50' x 150' lawn mowed each week. It sounds like your lawn is a bit bigger, so I would guess maybe about $45 a week in my area. Two things you should consider. First, it seems like my service comes too early in the season and stays too late. Do you really need to have your lawn cut at the beginning of December. Second, they charge something like $50 per hour for lawn cleanup in the Spring and Fall. Those costs can really add up...hundreds of dollars per year. Bottom line, communicate with your lawn service to set expectations and understand their entire costs!

We have an acre and a half with a house and a lot of driveway on it also. (This is in Florida)

Our lawn guy charges $50.00 for mowing, edging, weed eating, and blowing. He does very little actual plant trimming or landscape work.

I hope this gives you a ballpark Idea.
