I will be glad to. First you must realize that many of the Democrats you love are heavily invested in Oil. Did you know the Gore family owns Occidental Petroleum? But I digress.
We have been at war with radical Islam since Iran took our embassy people hostage during the Carter administration. We chose to ignore this disease known as international terrorism for decades. We finally realized that we are at war after the attack on 9/11. The only reason it ended up in Iraq right now is Saddam overplayed his hand. He would still be in power if he had cooperated with the UN inspectors. He liked making everyone believe he had horrible weapons. After 9/11 we could not take the chance that he did and might provide the technology to terrorists. Since we were still at war with Iraq since Dessert Storm, we took the opportunity to take out his perceived threat.
The terror supporting countries in the region, realizing the threat to them that a Free Iraq would pose, have been supporting the insurgency with money and sophisticated weapons. The disease of fundamentalist Islam tyranny cannot abide the cure that liberty brings to the long suffering people of the Middle East.
Regardless of what talking points you may have read or heard the truth is that there are very powerful, evil people out there that want to destroy us. They should have been dealt with long ago. Both parties are at fault for various reasons. What we are finally doing is the right thing.
The conflict in Iraq would have been much more easily accomplished if the Democrats hadn't decided to turn it into a political advantage. The terrorists would have abandoned Iraq long ago if every news item from America had been about how both the Democrats and Republicans avow to stay until victory is achieved. Instead the enemy has received an steady diet of encouragement from the American news media. The message, "Hey terrorists, just hang on. The Democrats are comming to your rescue".

Since the Iraq war, gas prices have reached record heights. The oil companies are making huge profits without being able to justify it.
But, the Iraq war was the worst thing the US could have done to ensure control of the oil supply. Look where we are now in Iraq. Worse of than we started.
We get a lot of oil from Venezuela and look at our current relations with them.

We don't need war in the middle east to make the oil companies rich. If you hadn't noticed, the biggest hike in gas prices came after Hurricane Katrina and we never looked back.
Damage from Katrina has been fixed, but price increases supposedly caused by said damages never went back down.

Check out Bush's involvement in the Carlisle Group (this may not be spelled correctly), investments, also in oil, with Osama's kinfolk as members also. This is the family that supposedly 'dis-owned' him. And our leader is in business with them ....... sorta like sleeping with the enemy.

cheap oil is what makes 'Bush's friends' rich. Expensive oil hurts the economy.

Yes. I would like the U.S. government to account for the oil they are taking from Iraq i.e. how much dollar amount and where is it going.

You think?
Cause until today, I still haven't figured out one good thing has come out of invading Iraq.
Conservatives, care to enlighten us?
And did someone say that the damage done by Katrina has been fixed?
Are you crazy!!!!
