The first women's rights convention took place in Seneca Falls, N.Y., in July 1848. The declaration that emerged there was modeled after the Declaration of Independence.

Elizabeth Cady Stanton, wrote it and claimed that "all men and women are created equal" and that "the history of mankind is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations on the part of man toward woman."

I'm spoiled and sometimes ungrateful.

I have been hanging out with bunches of OLD (real old) women from Church so I can be smothered and cooed over and basically more spoiled.

Any way's in getting to know them I have to recognize that I couldn't bank, drive, or even shop without men before the movement. The woman's movement provided this. No wonder nothing got done before the 1950's ... and "Honey Do" makes uddles more sence now. Can you imagine having a man who works, then has to take you everywhere? Wouldn't we all go insain saying "Can you take me to get eggs?" ... "I need to goto church for choir practice" ... I now watch "I Love Lucy" with an awe and it makes sense why Lucy was such a crazy and funny maniac.
