Yes! Those rocked- but nothing beat the Apple II GS... anyone remember that? It was amazing compared to the Apple IIs-

Did (and still do!) have a Commodore 64. Funny thing that was!

Sort of - I had Apples at school as I was placed in the GT classes - we were the only ones who got computers in the classroom, everyone else had to go to "the Lab" to do computer time - at home I had some bizzare DOD (Dept. of Defense) auction remainders at home that my dad tried to reconstruct. We also had one of those Commodore 64 monstrosities, and an old word processor...

The funniest thing about the computers was when my dad bought the auction lots on base, you had to bring the whole big mess home. So we had one box that turned out to be nothing but magnetic reel tapes. We strung it all over the yard, made our own ribbon dancers, braided it into lanyards, I think we used it to do tons of craft projects and stuff. Who knows, my kid might be doing that with CDs in a few years, I'll be looking at mobiles and frisbees and who knows what else. :)

But I really miss the games - Oregon Trail and Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego were my favorites at school, at home I played Global Thermonuclear War, QBert, and that game with the gorillas chucking bananas at each other. We also had a game that was basically a giant ASCII text castle, but I got killed a lot so I didn't play it too often, I watched my dad play it more.

Yes I did. I didn't have any computer experience until my 12th grade in high school. We had Computer Programming and it was on the Apple computer. Now-a-days they teach computers at a lot younger age. My daughter was already starting to work with computers in preschool. My, how things have changed.

Yes I did! I've used the whole apple line starting with the little "C" that had one 5 1/4 inch floppy drive and no hard drive.

My first computer experience was on IBM mainframe in the State system. Had to shove dinosaurs out of the way to get to it.
