Is that kind of hatred and self-loathing really what you want people to think of your entire party, or do you have the balls to stand up and say she's a lunatic?
And before you come back at me with Al Franken, Michael Moore or Rosie O'Donnell - I can't stand extremists on EITHER side of the aisle. But I'm choosing to ask this question about Ann Coulter. So answer as asked, please.

sway_26: So I assume that means you support Michael Moore's production of Fahrenheit 9/11?

sway_26: Good, then I will never hear you saying that any liberal-leaning psychopath should be fired, silenced, etc. for expressing their views. I'm glad.

conductor: No. The public, sadly, cannot tell the difference between entertainment and politics. That's why a lot of neocons spend a lot of time analyzing the comments of a freaking comedian, as opposed to studying the candidates for the next Presidential campaign.

Ann Coulter is the type of person who would make fun of a terminally ill child. Sadly, it does seem that a good amount of Republicans are proud of this vile person.

How amusing that you attempt to insulate your own party from extremist bomb-throwers like Franken, O'Donnall, Bill Maher et al...politics has historicly had it's vocal fringe voices.
Always has, always will.
BTW, Coulter does NOT represent the Republican Party - but rather she represents a particularly vitriolic strain of the ANTI LIBERAL movement.
If you read any of her books (I can tell you haven't BTW), you would know that she slams the GOP on a fairly regular basis.
The main difference between Coulter and her liberal counterparts is that Coulters intemperate remarks are aired on mainstream media with gasps of shock and dismay from the anchor people, while O'Donnell hosts a nationally aired TV morning show where she regularly spews crazed far-left, anti Bush hate speech, and not a SINGLE WORD is reported or commented on by the same media that vilifies Coulter.
But, of course, there is no leftist bias in the media, right?

Why bother with a thought out response when anthonyinc post the following and receieves "thumbs up":
"Name calling is a trademark of the RNC...and Ann Coulter perfected it.
Coulter is a mindless drone of the Republican extremist. "
So while accusing the RNC of name calling, you go and call a Coulter a mindless drone of the Republican extremist
Hey Anthony is there no limit to your hipocracy ?
Further, As far as I know Coulter has not been elected to any office nor has she been made a spokes person of the RNC. All people like herself and Michael Moore are mouthpieces for the extreme elements of both parties. No elected official has the backbone to say these things so they use people like Moore and Coulter to do it for them.

I personally don't care if Ann is associated with the Republicans....she is one person. The Holly-weird elite are an embarrassment to the libs and the Nation. If someone is going to rant, I would rather have an educated person like Coulter.

She's not a looney, just not PC. She is not a driving force in the party, though, so have no fear. She is entertainment, nothing else. We Republicans can tell the difference as you libs cannot. You actually listen to what your entertainers say and call them visionaries ie: Jane Fonda and the trio you mentioned above. You have got hope if you just regard them as entertainment.

You can't ask this question without bringing the likes of Al Franken and Rosie O'donnell into the mix.
It makes your question partisan. Ann Coulter is no worst than those liberal goons you mentioned in your question.

Ann is just trying to make a living being outrageous. And doing a pretty good job of it. She speaks with virtually no factual basis. Some people believe her. I'd like to sell one of them a bridge.

Everyone you mentioned is not afraid to say what they think. Even if it's ridiculous to most of us.
I like that because I know for sure where they stand and I can easily tune them out if needed.

Not any prouder than Liberals are with Rosie O'Donald and the protesters burning effigies of American Soldiers...She has a right to say what she wants to say, but I do not agree with her outrageous statements...

Last time I checked, Ann Coulter wasn't an elected official....so she doesn't represent anyone but herself.
