I found the drivers for the Elitegroup K7S5A and downloaded them to the pc. I had to unzip them but now im faced with a few files none of which i know of. 3 of them say CMUDA, there is 3 .DLL files including the audio which i need. Also there is CMICNFG file. How do i reinstall these files. PLEASE PLEASE HELP PEOPLE.

Nothing is showing as a yellow triangle but the sound isnt working still. I get a little feedback when i plug the speakers in but still no sound with everything turned up

Tried that page. I started installing the files as it stops saying that the file is already in use a service name. What does that mean

Not sure where you downloaded those, however, the ones available from Elitegroup come with a simple "setup" or "install" command & do it all automatically.

I suggest you go to this site & choose the specific model of your mainboard ... then download the easy solution to your problem :

if you have xp these instructions will vary. If you right click my computer left click properties then click device manager and find the device that has an exclamation point on it double click that then click the driver tab. from there just tell windows to look in the location u unzipped your files to hope that helps.

When you reinstalled Windows did you reinstall the Motherboard drivers? These will be on a sperate CD that came with your board. If you dont have it anymoe go to the vondors website and d/l the drivers for you model.

Using the device manager.. right click the problem and select the driver manually.. if this doesnt work.. then possibly theres something wrong with the driver

after a fresh instalation of XP you need to install drivers for the hardwares. if you know which sound card is installed on your mobo then directly goto that manufacturers site and download the drivers and install them. might your previous driver has being corrupted.
