What exactly does fondling mean? And if a child is fondled by an adult once, does this count as sexual abuse?

I am talking about my own history so please don't give any hurtful answers.

Yes, I think if you are fondled once as a child that does count as abuse. Once is too much for a child to be abused by the very people(adults) who should be taking care of them and keeping them safe. I think fondling, when talking about abuse is touching of the private parts, whether above or below the waist. Once can do just as much damage as multiple times to a childs precious mind and self esteem. I hope you have gotten some help with this. Don't let it tear you apart, seek counseling to work through this. I wish you the best and am sorry for what you have been through.

"Fondling" means touching in a sexual way. And yes, if an adult does this once to a child, it is an instance of sexual abuse.

If this ever happened to you, it's very important for you to understand that you weren't responsible, the adult was. It wasn't your fault and you ARE NOT a "bad person." So it's important not to make anything more of it than it is. Bad things happen in life, and the key is to dismiss the incident, walk away from it, leave that baggage behind and move on without caring about it anymore.

Fondling is another, cleaner, nicer way of saying "touching" in a "private area". So if an adult is fondling a child, this is wrong and counts as sexual abuse.

Fondling is touching someone in a loving or sexual way. A child should never be fondled, it is wrong. If someone has done this to you, no matter how many times it is abuse. I'm sorry to say.

Hope this helps you sort this out.

Fondling is touching the private parts, It can be in a soft or strong manner so yes this is abuse if a child, or unconsenting adult.

If you feel that this has happened to you then please be careful what you say and especially on this type of forum, you may not get nice answers back even if you have asked not to be cruel.

I hope you find what you are looking for. x

For Fondling you have the following meanings:
1. To handle or touch lovingly, affectionately, or tenderly; caress: to fondle a precious object; to fondle a child. (Verb).
2. Affectionate play (or foreplay without contact with the genital organs). (Noun).

(According to me it is an sexual abuse). I have given the exact meaning and now u can decide whether it is a sexual abuse or not. :-)

It means touching in an inappropriate manner, and constitutes sexual abuse. If this person did it to you, he/she may do it to someone else, only worse, so report it to the police, just so that if someone else reports it, and there are no witnesses, it is far more likely that the next person will be believed, and the matter investigated fully, as the report will be on a computer database.

If you mean "foundling" that's not the same as fondling. See foundling in dictionary. See it also for fondling. Whichever you mean, sorry, I can't help. Best wishes.
