There has never been a scientifically verified demonstration of this.

nothing can be proven only shown to be true within its parameters,
set r parameters correctly and u can say telekinetic powers are true (for example u can say that the imagination is part of reality)

on a more "physical" side to the story its simply a matter if the human body can or will be capable of manipulating the world around it, to see this simply look at basic forces eg a magnetic force, that can move metals, if the brain or body is capable of controlling the 4 known forces (electro-magnetic, gravitational, weak and strong) then it is possible that it can manipulate any physical object around it. (this includes altering the material on an atomic scale) of course it also depends on the magnitude of the output.

consipracy theory time
I agree with the guy that says there has never been a scientifically proven test showing that the imnd has power to move and item at distance without contact but

here comes the consipracy

the russians during the cold war had an entire town of psychics, telekinetics , and any other alternative type guys as surrogate parents for kids from orpanages. the theory was by these kids seeing this stuff on a daily basis would be perceived as "normal" and then exhibit the same powers. apparently the theory worked and the russians thought great perfect weapons for the cold war. but when they sent them out to do there bidding they lost the abilities, they saw that the rest of the populace couldn`t do it and were scarred of them so the abilities faded. shame realy

also the states have been experimenting with far veiwing and psychics for years. but if they played with telekinetics then they kept that quiet. but saying that i wouldn`t advertise the fact to my enemys or my friends would you?. the other part of this myth is that people who are not fully genned up on this subject wouldn`t know the difference so could be told they are far veiwers but they could be telekinetics who would know?

on a personal level i think that kids have the ability when they are young but they dont develop it as they dont see it happening on a daily basis and would be seen as freaks and ostrasized even by their parents. kids learn by repetition and by mimiking and if they dont live in that enviroment then they dont learn the skill no natural advantage.

it takes a serious act of will to convince your self of something if everyone tells you its wrong. to convince your self takes 99% of the work but to convince everyone else is the remainder(1% if your maths is bad).

Think of it yourself if you see an illsionist on tv then you can be convinced easily that it could happen (derren brown got me convinced) but if your mate down the pub said i can move that pint glass without touching it, then you would expect him to ask his mate to do it for him completing the challenge . but if he actually moved it with no tricks what would be your reaction surprise do it again then the fear comes.

just my thoughts guys

Telekinesis is impossible without artificial aid. However, there are devices that can detect brain activity and move objects.

There was a recent example of this on TV where a monkey was shown controlling a white spot on a video monitor using signals from its brain that where electronically detected.

There is also research underway to enable fighter pilots to control their aircraft by brain activity.

Theres been alot of trickery in the past. Alot of it has been magnetic, not telekinetic.

Like when a fraudster was exposed as having hidden a tiny magnet in a match stick, then moved it with the iron filings concealed in his nails.

Poltergeists. Now theres a thing. My mother had just moved into a new house when we were babies. She asked my father if he knew where the matches were. Spontaneously, the box shook and rattled on the mantle piece. Must have been a friendly spook saying here you go, love.

i think it will be possible some day in the very very very distant future, we can now control things like computer games with devices that read brain waves thus that means that the brain is capable of controlling a force outside the body which means that, if we evolve our brains will probably evolve with us and as the brain grows stronger so do the forces that it can emit

I've never seen proof of this and I would love to think that its possible but there are many fraudulent people out there (i.e How many folks believe Uri Geller is telekenetic?).

Imagine, someone offends you. You telekenetically throw them across a room, then shout "OMG what just happened?!"... that thought is priceless

I don't think anyone can do this at the moment but I do think it will be possible in the distant future, as humans evolve and begin to use more of their brains capacity.

Do you mean like the amzing Kreskin who could bend metal with his mind? I guess anything is possible but I would have to be close by to observe that there was no hocus pokus going on. But I do believe the mind is capable of many things that are not in our realm.
