Whoa whoa whoa....my god are you wanting the life of the sixties and seventies.I f you have a wife and you make her live that way then god help her. When a woman stays home believe me the first thing she does after you leave is say ahhhhhhh...don't have to see him for another 8-10 hours. We very much like the down time without the whining you make when you come home. And as for the working wife.Well where would you be sometimes without that extra paycheck and where i work men are very happy to get their ,(breather)from us women and the women have to take a breather the minute a guy walks past them because they know how much of a pain in the butt he is..so take your breather in the toilet

No I would have to disagree with you. This day and age it is almost impossible to raise a family and have a nice home on one salary. In the good old days like you say woman were being disrespected by society everywhere if they wanted to do a job that a man usually did. I think in todays saociety it is
nice to see that women are getting the same breaks in the workplace as men and having the whole sexual harassment law in place helps that as well. The only men that would feel this way are thoughs that think that the woman is doing a better job then they are and are scared of being passed over a promotion by a woman. Really if you need to ask this then your a little sexist!. Woman deserve the same rights and privileges as man and it is common knowledge that alot of woman are smarter then the average man. I say that we need to have woman in the workplace if anything it gives us men a way to find a possible mate or a good friend.

Fact 1. More women staying at home to bring up kids means better adjusted kids
Fact 2. Women not working on this basis has nothing to do with money
Fact 3. Women who choose to work instead of bringing up their family are no better off as a result.
Fact 4. Motherhood is a sacred calling and should be acknowledged as such.
Just because things have changed doesn't make yesteryear better than today. What's actually happened is that we have all become focussed upon material things and less upon family.
Foreign holidays, big cars, latest gadgets are all a passing fad, and have no real purpose in life. They certainly cannot make and sustain true happiness.

Yes. Mothers little helpers in a little yellow pill were often given to Susie Homemaker to keep her happy. If men provided for their family and everyone took their vows to heart instead of dropping trou every chance they got life might be better. When you take a breather from the wives, are there other women in the proximity?

No, they weren't... it was a kind of social stability built on unfairness to women, and it is pretty much eroded, though probably not gone completely... you could argue that it was better for men perhaps, but I think they probably missed out as well in some ways- like, they didn't really appreciate their wives, daughters, etc, as people, so they couldn't have been whole themselves.
Things may seem unstable now and confused, but that's just because society needs time to reassert itself, and for everyone to get the gist of what's happening....

you see that was all just a fallacy, the women of this earth are just so clever that we made you men think that that was what you wanted, while all the time we were the ones getting the breather.

You are talking about Victorian values. it was definitely better for the men, whether it was good for the women is debatable. some people (even women) think that women leaving the home was the worst thing they could have done for themselves because they can lose control over the one thing they had control over, the home.

doesnt matter who stays home, when both parties started working it put more workers in the work force and this cut wages by alot, when only one member of a household was working there was alot more corporate compatition for pay and work,
plus there was always someone at home for kids that are now 10 yo and called " latch key kids" someone would be there to talk to them about frustrations they are having, I cant remember 35 years ago anyone coming to school and shooting bunches of people,
