This is what America wants so the Republicans should live with it.

So you're saying that all the Democrat anger about Republicans and Bush over the past few years was unjustified? After all, that's what the people voted in, so it was what America wanted, at least at the time.

I think you're really overlooking the fact that the Democrats didn't actually run on any plan that anyone could say "this is what America wants."

Look at the recent Defense Bill. Is that what America wants, the troops out sometime next year? I thought the "plan" was to get them out now, what happened to that? If that's what America wants, how come it takes billions in "pork" to get enough support to get even a withdrawal a year from now funded? Don't Democrats believe in what they say?

Are you suggesting that the Republicans should just let the Democrats do whatever they want, and rather than vote against Democrat plans, simply abstain? Why, because the Democrats are the majority? Where was that logic when the Republicans had the majority and wanted to confirm judges and a UN ambassador? Is there a rule I don't know about that only allows Democrats to filibuster and oppose a majority?

Get this right: What I'm talking about has nothing to do with Democrat or Republican values. It has more to do with the fact that Democrats very clearly want to run the government along totalitarian lines, much more so than what they accuse the Republicans of trying to do.

Questions like yours evidence a logic that proves beyond a reasonable doubt that you cannot be trusted with power. While there may be ample reason sto question Republicans, Democrats are beyond redemption.

By the way... the only reason the Democrats are in power now is because a significant number of voters saw there being no point to voting for Republicans that would not stand up to the tyranny of the Democratic minority. If a few Republicans appear by next year that have some testicles, you guys will be on the curb. If they don't, then there isn't going to be a lot left in five years for you clowns to be in charge of.

The democrats have been mad as h--- since Bush won Florida in 2000. That was what America wanted then, but the dems did not take it in good graces and have made great trouble over it ever since, so why should the Republicans have to be graceful about losing?
No matter who is in power, half the electorate that voted for the other party is gonna be p---ed off. It is the way things work now.
Live with that.

I generally vote Rep. but I am of no party. I am not happy with all of either party and know that some Dems are better than some Reps. People like Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, & Barbra Boxer are all out for thier own fame and finance and not out to better the country. There are people in the Republican side that are just as bad. My opinion is that we need to look past the parties and vote for honest people. I believe that John Mccain, and Joe Libierman are honest and even though I disagree with their views on many issues it is people like them I think we need in office. Elections have become more about choosing the lesser evil than about choosing the Good canidate. We need to get the crooks out of office using recall votes and impeachments when nesacery to show the lifer politicians where the true power in this country really lies.

I lean toward being Republication but I can't say that I'm angry about the Democrats getting the majority vote. Remember we have a two party system for a reason.

I have not heard any Republicans say " I am angry the Dems were voted into office". However I have heard Dems say they are angry Bush is in office a thousand times.

correct the Democrats won so the Republicans have to live with it. but dont be fooled into thinking it's what most Americans wanted. The country is pretty much divided so when one party wins , roughly half the country is disappointed. But life goes on no matter who runs the government and no matter who holds office there will always be people unhappy. Just like when the Republicans win elections and Democrats are unhappy.

During the second term of a president his party always loses ground. Actually the Pubs lost LESS than the statistical average.
There was no landslide. There was nothing unexpected. It was same ol'

Both parties lie. Neither are really for the people. Neither read the constitution.

BOTH are in cahoots... give me a break.

Libs that put their party on a pedestal are blind, gibbering apes.

They just don't like being beaten fair and square. No matter how hard they tried to fix this election they couldn't do anything about it.

Most of them are probably quite relieved that Bush is being opposed. They just won't admit it in public.
It's the Fox News halfwits who are still hanging onto the nightmare for dear life.
