well unfortunately, this happened to me in 2003. The family had all left so we were out of the house Thank God! But when I came home with my son the firefighters were already there fighting it. I ran in the house to save my dog and it took two firefighters to drag me out. They said I had to get out because the roof was about to collapse. All I could do was sit there in the driveway and bawl my eyes out about the dog. He was the only thing I wanted out of the house. I later found his body, unburnt but lifeless. He had crawled in between the furnace and the wall. I still mourn him.

My house has never been on fire, but if it were, and my family was out, I'd get my cat....
