Someone is selling a 04' G35 coupe w/ 24,100 miles w/ a rebuild title for $20000. Car looks like original, drove it and nothing seems to be wrong with it. everything works. Guy says car was hit in front passenger side and engine wasn't damaged. Anything i should look for?

I personally would not buy a salvaged vehicle no matter what the owner says. A rebuilt vehicle is a rebuilt vehicle and who knows how. While it might work fine right now, in the long run problems associated with the crash might occur. The factory warranty is also void because the repair was not done by Infiniti. Plus the resale value will fall at lightning speed and it'll be harder for you to sell it, if you decide to do so later on. Don't buy a totaled car no matter how good its been repaired.

First thing I will tell you is don't buy any used car prior to have an independent mechanic give it a through inspection. Second that price sound similar to what a clean title G35 would cost, please confirm you are actually saving money. Third, it may be true that the car is back to new condition, but still as long at it has a rebuild title that lowers the value 15-20% as a rule. Fourth, yes he's asking $20,000 so offer him something lower like $18,000 a 10% price reduction is reasonable. I'm sure he's had idiots call up offering $5-10K.

The G35 is a great car, but I would not buy one that's been in an accident. You never know what could be wrong underneath, and I doubt he used all OEM parts.
