If you look at the back of your computer and see a port filled with coloured plugs and you can plus your speakers into one of these and you can hear sound you have one, if not just go to the computer store get one for like $30-$40 open up your computer (dont forget to ground yourself and dont work on carpet) and plug and play your new sound card and your pc should be able to install and recognize the hardware automatically. Most nwer PC's have sound built-in. Look on the back of the PC for 3 or more 1/8" coloured plugs.
Then, read your PC User Manual to learn what plugs in where.

most computers have built in sound cards. If it has the jacks where you can plug in speakers in the back or front, you have either onboard sound, or a sound card. If not you can get one from newegg.com, from anywhere between 20-50 bucks, you get what you pay for.
