All men are created equal is a very conservatine thought (Well Jeffersonian Liberal thought, which today, is the same as Conservative.)

A prime example is that governments should take care of the poor. To do this, they have to steel money and resourses from those who have it. When you tax the rich, do they ever have to live in smaller houses? No. They make thir employees work harder for less. They make customers pay more for less. They mahe their sharholders earn less on investments.

So. it's clear to see that when governments "help" the poor, they are simply making more poverty. All the liberal need is to foster a bit of envy and voila. More poverty. Amazing how the father of all lies works in our times, isn't it?

And all absolute statements are lies, except this one. Which makes you the real liar, and the reverse of everything you say is therefore true.

Well, one argument would be that the rich have only got rich in the first place by exploiting the labour or lifestyle of the poor, so really it's only fair to redistribute some of it.

States with higher taxes and a more even distribution of wealth, eg Scandinavia and northern Europe, are usually in the top echelons of the lists of most productive economies. The evidence does not suggest that liberal societies create poverty; rather, the opposite.

It seems to me that you're taking your definition of "liberalism" from right-wing talk radio rather than political science.

Buddy, you may think that you are politically incorrect, but you are just factually and historically incorrect instead.

Jefferson was no Conservative. If you want to look at Conservatives during that time period, look at the loyalists.

"All men are created equal", sorry, but that is a progressive ideal. If you think that it is not, then please explain how equality is conservative.

Should government take care of the poor? Some people are working and never go up the ladder, why should they not be helped? Can you honestly say with a straight face that fighting economic inequality is not a moral issue?

That's just absurd. True liberal values, starting with the ideals that man should take care of his fellow man, have no political persuasion. You are construing left wing politics with liberal ideas. There is a distinct difference. Today's liberals bear as much resemblance to true liberal beliefs as today's conservatives represent true conservative beliefs. Politics has skewed the labels to a point where the names have little or nothing to do with the actual original principles of either persuasion.

so the rich get richer and the poor get poorer is you philosophy..... ask this question when you've moved out of middle America and gotten your hands dirty. Take the silver spoon out of your mouth and give it back to daddy and do some research, because with your view there still isn't a solution to poverty.
