Greetings Dine from Slamdunk!

Good Questiom, although somewhat ambiguous. As it could be interpereted many ways.

However I will do my best to give you a short versions of possible answers ans scenarios, OK? Here goes buddy!!

Identify solveL

Before I start, I should let you know I am a qualified trainer through VETAB, IE: THE: Vocational Educational Authority Board of Australia, so I basically go into real live workplace industry and identify challenges and my task is to SOLVE them ok? So the answer I am going to give you is broad in definition but if you can keep an open mind I believe it may assist you with learning in other areas too.

Firstly I couldn't but help notice there was a 20% of 500 = 100 true. A simple answer: However one of the most impotant aspects of any question, especially when SOLVE is stated in mathematical terms is the process at which you derive the answer from.

It is simple to come up with the answer very quickly, especially if you are talented. However in real terms, one might only recieve 20% of a full mark rather than 100% for answering the question properly.

Why? Because, mathematicians and many other disiplines want to see how you derived the answer, thats where you get the other 80% to get full credit.

For example: if iwas to ask you a question, Solve the following: what is 20% of 500, and you simply wrote 100, I might only give you partial credit for getting the question right but not actually showing me how you SOVED the question:

Which could be solved something like this.

First, Always, Re-write the question at the begining of your answer, eg

"Solve the following: What is 20% 0f 500? Step 1
working out the answer Step2
Deriving at the correct answer Step 3

I say this , because even if you come up with the wromg answer but you were showing how you were derivibg or working out the answer and you were correct at working out the andswwer but made a simple mistake say 3/4 of the way through the working out, even though you didn't come up withe the right answer, you may still get 75% credit because your working out was 75% correct.

Remember this applies to anything that you are trying to demonstrate to someone who has the power of giving marks, passess and failures whether it be mathematics, history, or science.

Remember buddy, Keep an open mind and you will allways learn.

Hope this helps a little.

Cheers Buddy

Slamdunk

What exactly are you asking?

To work out a percentage, you times the number by the percentage, then divide by 100. That's just one way of doing it though.
