Following your lead for me it would be sexual relations (choose your own variety) with chocolate being a close second and sex while eating and rolling in chocolate pudding with a beautiful woman might even be the best. Actually, all of those are more discoveries than inventions. Invention and discovery are sometimes synonymous but the words have finer meanings. An invention requires some type of directed thought process, a discovery you may just fall into (like a pool of pudding -- can't get that off my mind). One of the most important inventions is effective written communications, IMHO. Now, back to the sex and pudding.......

probably the great invention is the word invention itself. Otherwise we would not be able to categorize/classify things brought into existance and just take them for granted.
I think i will have to caterize the great invention into a few categories medicine, computers, the wheel, etc
in short
anyway current great invention is computers and old great invention is the wheel.

A whoever said fire that isn't an invention man just learnt how to create and harness it.

Technically, chocolate is a discovery, not an invention. Unless you're referring to the Twix bar.
