plz help me figure out how to convert these. listing a good site would be nice, but telling me the answers work too. (ready for the sly remarks like do your own hw they always come no matter what. :p)

You just have to move the decimal place. Everything moves by a factor of 10. Here is the order that the units go:

Kilo, Hecto, Deca, [main unit] Deci, Centi, Milli

I remember this like so: King Henry's Dumb Monkeys Drink Chocolate Milk. (same first letter, same order).

1m = 100cm
1 mL = 1000L
1 kg = 1000g

The metric system is easy...you just move the decimal place around. I'll show you on the first on.

.85 m = 85 cm
That should help.

.08 kg

100 cm=1m centi=base root for hundred
1000 ml -1 L milli= base root for a thousand
1000 g=1kg kilo= base root for thousand
