This is what works for me; but you tailor it, so it best suits you.
1.Get a haircut.
2.Clean my room.
3.Scream at the top of my lungs.
4.Talk to my mom to help process the loss.
5.Spend time with my best friend for a little respite.
6.Write letters or emails, but don’t send them.
7.Trust that I am exactly where I ought to be.
8.Get a massage or pedicure...maybe take a bubble bath.
9.Remind myself that the void of loss makes a space for something new.
10.Reminisce through old photos and letters...anything to buffers the loss.
11.Treat myself to a new outfit. (Don’t really need a loss, but what the heck.)
12.Fill my room with fresh flowers and scented candles, which I burn.
13.Sip hot cocoa [insert favorite coffee here] and give way to daydreams.
14.Talk to my love before bed and fantasize that we will reunite in our dreams.
15.Reflect on a seemingly bad incident, which had an unexpectedly good outcome.
16.Introspect, get to know me a bit better and trust that I will be all the stronger as a result.
17.Stay active, roller-blade, take yoga or wrestle with my little brother. (Yes, I still wrestle.)
18.Think of a loss greater than the present and reflect on the initial devastation then how I persevered.
19.Question the loss--ask what am I holding on to, why is it important to me, what would happen if I let go?
20.But most importantly, I am patient with myself and honor my need to grieve—no matter what that look likes and regardless of the ‘helpful’ advice from others (including mine).
Now, if all else fails, you still have a wonderful assortment of defensive mechanics to fall back on. My all-time favorite...deny, deny, deny...

Yes, ACCEPTANCE makes letting go so much easier. Once you accept something, like the outcome of an event, or the death of a loved one letting go is much more easier.

Keep your self busy with your friends, doing things with them. Other than that I'd say it will just take some time to get past what your feeling.
But you will be alright, you will get there. Just keep your mind busy with other things and you will be just fine.
Good luck.
