It won't hurt it if it is properly jetted.

Without baffles the motor will breath freer. This will introduce mor air into the fuel mix making it leaner. This will in turn make the motor run hotter and can lead to burned valves and pistons. Especially in a newer HD motor since the come set up really lean from the factory to get past the tree huggers at the EPA. You will need to re-jet your carb. BTW, running without any type of baffles you will loose a lot of tourque. An inexpensive set of aftermarket slip on mufflers would run a lot better.

Like everyone else has said, yes it can. BUT, I love the sound of my straight fishtails on mine. To keep from burning up the valves,I put torque cones on at the head. Of course the fishtails also restrict the flow some too.

It can if you don't re-jet the carbs, with no baffles, the engine runs to lean and you can burn a piston. If it's injected, no problems.

It can make the valves run hotter and help burn them up. The baffles keep a little back pressure in the system to help prevent that. You also give up a little performance with the baffles in. Good luck.

It can't hurt the motor - it usually lets it breathe better - especially if you have old clogged up baffles.
