there were nations before countries, groups of people with something in common. There will always be groups like this granted if there was no religion and no "countries" it would make the world a much simpler place because people would not be fighting over differences that were not really there Allah and God are basically one in the same after all. However, you would still have conflicts because you would have the haves and the have nots, these groups could be defined by something as simple as where they live. One group has a good climate for producing food, they are the haves and another group lives in a frozen tundra just to the north unable to produce any food, they are the have nots. you will always have conflict no matter what the world looks like.

Jon Holmes on the Now Show on Friday made a good point on this song. John Lennon sang "Imagine no possessions" while sitting at his expensive white Steinway piano in his huge mansion...

yeah the only way that could happen would be if someone took over the world and for some crazy reason took away organized religion, the opiate of the masses, but it's a nice thought and a great song

It would be good if their was only one religion rather than having to watch what we say and do in case you offend anyones religion

you could start by taking down your fence or garden wall, people put these up because they are afraid that someone will rob their belongings or break in to their house or shed, or they are paranoid about being observed. we like privacy, as humans, we build walls around ourselves put up curtains, its all seems fear based like we share a siege mentality and its instinctive or infectious, have you ever been to a neighbour hood that all agreed to remove their walls and share one vast garden instead of loads of little plots, I have years ago in London and it was pretty liberating and gave me hope.

Like the song says Imagine, in Northen Ireland they knocked down loads of bridges during the troubles now they are rebuilding them. Viva peace, Viva Love. Viva John Lennon!

Bollocks. Everybody's favourite hippy drippy psuedo anarchistic
psychedelic bubblegum ballad, written by a nasty b*stard who took too much acid.
This is what marrying hideous and deranged Japanese performance artists does for you.
