Here are two problems I'm having problems with:
2[(2x3) +10] /8 = and

[(5x6=7.2) +4)] 2 =

my problem is I can not figure out what to do with the numbers in front or at the end of the Brackets??? Do I add them or Multiply them ??? I am very confused!

I know the order of operations but the teachers never told me about this?? I know, please excuse my dear aunt sally but this really through me for a loop!!
Thank Anyone for any Help :)

I have simply added in the multiplication sign.
This should make it clearer for you.

2 x [(2 x 3) + 10] / 8 =

and

[(5 x 6 = 7.2) + 4)] x 2 =

Start inside the brackets and then inside the parenthesis and solve in order of operations if necessary. Then complete equation inside of entire bracket ( 6 + 10 ). Then go in order of operations by multiplying 16 by 2 and then dividing 8.

2[(2x3) +10] /8
2(6+10) /8
2(16) /8
32 / 8
= 4

[(5x6=7.2) +4)] 2
? 5x6 doesn't equal 7.2 - should = be +

[(30 + 7.2) + 4] x 2
[ 37.2 + 4 ] x 2
41.2 x 2
= 82.4

2[(2x3) +10] /8 =
2[6+10]/8=
(12+20)/8=
32/8=
4

Basically you solve in the innermost bracket first. The number in front of the bracket mean multiply so long as there is no operation right in front of the number. So 3(5) = 15, while 3-(5)= -2

Try the second.

You should mutiply two numbers together when the operation is not specified. For example,

2[(2x3) +10] /8
=2[6 +10] /8
=2[16] /8
= 2 x 16 /8
=32 /8
=4

1) 2[(2x3) +10]/8 = 4
2) [(5x6=7.2) +4)] 2 = 53.6

In your second question sign you put is = instead of substraction (-)

Do you know about BODMAS
B=bracket
O= of
D= division
M= multiplication
A= addition
S= substraction
This should be your order of solving problems
first you should any thing within brackets then division ,multiplication,addition, substraction.

When there is no sign between a bracket and a number then you consider that it multiplication.
