by just holding the handle down and let go real fast. Do this over and over and the gas pump will pump gas in you vehicle but it will not be able to keep up with how much.

My boyfriend taught me this trick....a long long long time ago when we were penny pinching for gas...

After you stop pumping the gas and the meter has stopped, keep the nozzel in the car's gas tank. Then hold the hose up in such a way that whatever gas is left in the hose goes into your car. This use to work back in the seventies, and may possibly still work today.

Thanks for the memories though.... the good ol' days.

Not really that much more.

You can turn the pump off and try to drain the hose by holding the handle down and lifting the hose to drain whatever is left in it. Just like draining a garden hose. try it if you like, but it won't be that much more gas.

This does not work anymore. The cutoff for the gas is in the handle itself now, not in the pumping unit.
