This is truly all going to depend on what type of system you want, and what you are going to use it for. The types of systems are basic. You have "get you by", "does what I need it to", "Hey! It's great! Look what else I can do with this thing." and finally "THE GRAND MASTER" which would be a top end gaming system. Unfortunately, some of those PC's, from companies like Widow PC and Alienware are the "Top End" in price as well. Since 1990, I have been doing business with a lot of people, and honestly, in my personal opinion, do yourself a favor, and talk with Jon at "Puget Custom Computers" online. He is the man I bought my first dual Processor pc from, and to this day, without ANY kind of support or need of help, this computer has been a deadly Business server for me for almost 7 years now. He is professional, his staff are excellent and ALL trained and certified, and his prices are about right. Granted you get what you pay for, but even his prices are decent compared to what I have seen over the years. Besides. His customer service is next to NONE. Every time, within 24 hours, my questions were always answered, no matter how long I was online live with them, or on the phone. Email tends to take a bit longer. Other than that, here is a list of some others that I have worked with and can say are decent suppliers:
Digital Storm
PCUSA
(Don't laugh) Mac - (I use one. One of the safest, most stable pc's I have ever used.)
Compaq
Dell
Fujitsu
Gateway
HP
Sony - (Especially the Vaio. The most stable sony pc ever made in my opinion.)
Toshiba - (The satellites are really nice. Stable, efficient, and trustworthy.)
Most of these places you visit online, have automated systems where you can custom build a pc online, and get a quote at the same time, so you can regulate how much your budget is and what you can see yourself spending. Great option if you ask me. Gives you an idea of how to mix and match. Personally, even if you don't buy from him, go to the Puget Custom Computers site, and mess around with his automated system. He uses all up to date equipment, and you will find most top of the line stuff there. Again, you get what you pay for, but his prices are decent. Check all these out when you have time. A piece of advice, if you see something you like and want it, research it some more. I am sure you can find a deal that could save you a few bucks before you go spending all your money!
My apologies for the novel, but I hope this helps some!
Good luck, and good hunting!

properly actual if could make your funds 2 hundred greenbacks extra that is going to help ALOT, besides, you may get an excellent very own pc with that. Dell is particularly good, I actually have a Dell computing gadget that costed me approximately 900 greenbacks and it works great for sims 3 , Assassination creed 2, and all video games and stuff. I had it for some 365 days now and its working completely wonderful, i individually dont think of something will take place to it every time quickly, and confident Dell is often stable....i think of all and sundry else consents 2. Hp is likewise stable. choose you the excellent!

Most brands of computers are good; otherwise, they wouldn't stay in business very long. Are you looking for a low-end or a high-end computer? A good high-end computer would be Alienware (owned by Gateway), a good mid-range computer would be Gateway for desktops, and Toshiba or Lenovo for laptops (I don't trust Sony any farther than I can throw it.) A good low-end computer would be an eMachines (owned by Gateway).
Overall answer: Something from Gateway, personally. I just haven't tried many other brands.
