Green dress - green is still an 'in' colour and you don't want to be feeling self conscious about your slightly see through trousers (this might show up in the wedding photos too)

You should wear the dress, since it's a formal event. If you wear the other outfit it will look like "a cry for attention", and that would look really bad, seeing as how it's not YOUR day lol. From the sound of it, i imagine the dress to look good with a cute, light weight cardigan, maybe 3 quarter sleeve, and some flat strappy sandals or some sling back wedges, one elegant neclace and a danty cute watch.

go for the green strappy dress, as green is a very in colour at the mnute and you dont want to be seen in pictures with a slightly see through top on as it will show up even more.

I wouldn't go with the slightly see through. I would stick to something a little more solid, like the dress, otherwise you might end up feeling a little underdressed and regret it. Whichever makes you more comfortable, but I would definately go with the better fit, what makes you happy and what doesn't look trampy.

wear the green dress but accesorize it with some silver bangles and strappy shoes and you could even wear a pashmina scarf with it!

the dress sounds nicer...also bear in mind the colour theme of the wedding, you dont want to look like a bridesmaid if your not one!

The second one sounds very nice...it it's see through make sure your underwear is the same colour or flesh colour.
