Hi, I think I've got just the site for you! I know mannnnnnny survey sites are scams, but i'm a member of one that is definitely not. It even has a forum page showing different people posting up the checks they've received from the site. I've been a member for almost a week now and already made $40. They send checks to their members on the 15-20th of every month with a minimum payout of $20. All you do is fill out different offers and get paid around 50 cents to $1 for each one. Even more if you use ur credit card. Hope this helps! http://www.treasuretrooper.com/249069

The best one ive found is valued opinions which ive made about £30 in a couple of months.... its not going to pay the mortgage but ever little helps. you gov seems to be picking up a bit more now which seems to be the way these site go... the more you answer the more surveys that come your way. GFK is the most recent one ive joined and in two weeks ive made £10 as i won £5 in one of the draws they do. Ive just remembered that ciao is another good one where you do surveys and also can earn extra money by reviewing products etc.
Other ones ive tried are.
Globaltestmarket
lightspeed
mytns
ipos
focusline
global opinion
There are a few more but they are american based and not many surveys get sent through

Sure. I've been doing paid surveys for about 4 years. I've listed most of the sites I have taken surveys through and actually been paid (or received other rewards like gift cards or CD'S) on the following webpage:
http://www.windhavenweb.com/surveys
I list how they pay you, what I like and dislike about them, whether they have an affiliate or referral program, etc. (And yes, if I say they have an affiliate program, I'm part of it, and make a commission when someone signs up through that link...I like to be up front about that).
But watch out--there are also scams out there. Here are some tips to avoid them:
Don't sign up for any survey site which asks you to pay to access the surveys. Also watch for language like "get paid for taking surveys AND SIGNING UP FOR OFFERS" if you don't want to have to sign up for stuff with other companies to get paid.
Always carefully read their terms of service and privacy policy. If in their privacy policy they say they only use aggregated info, this is GOOD SIGN they are legit. Aggregated info information that is grouped together so it can't be connected with anyones personal identification like name, e-mail, phone or address. That's what survey sites SHOULD collect. Avoid sites that say they give, rent, or sell any personal information (info that is not aggregated) to third parties (unless you really don't mind getting junk mail, telemarketing calls, and spam).
Also, never sign up for a survey through an unsolicited e-mail--since these might not even be from the site they claim to be, but could be a phishing scheme to get your information and mis-use it. And never give your credit card info--there is no good reason a legitimate free site would need it.
Here are two other sites which are very helpful

You should join http://www.moneymakers.pdnr.com and http://www.creativecash.pdnr.com to make money online. There are no upfront costs, and the sites are legit. I have received many checks from them before. You earn money by completing surveys, and trying free trials, suck as Netflix. Get a few friends to sign up as you referrals and you can earn even more, plus a $1 bonus on one of the sites. I've made as much as $75 a day! Try it out!

Yes, you sign up for surveys with market research companies, then they email you when there's a survey to be filled out, you fill it out and you earn money.
I've got a list of 10 UK ones on my website, but I can't link you to my site as that is against the Terms of Service here, but my link is in my profile.
I received £100 from just one of them on my list during March alone.
I call surveys "pinmoney" because for most people that's what you will earn. Although if you sign up for as many companies as possible - and do them religiously and tell your friends it is possible to make damned good money.
I hope this helps. check out my profile if you want to see my list

I do valued opinions and get paid £1 - £1.50 per survey. You get paid in vouchers and I do quite well from it. Another one is you gov, only trouble with this one is they pay you cash when you get to £50 which takes ages.

They are painfully pointless. You have to give your address meaning you get about 10 tonnes of junk mail every month.
Plus you get paid absolute peanuts. You'd be better off spending 8 hours working in a shop, than 8 hours spent pressing the "yes" key on your computer...
